We tried to make this website as compatible with as many browsers as possible and maintain a respectable level of presentation. To achieve this goal, we've used web standards including CSS level 1 and CSS level 2 to control the site's page layout.
The Web Standards Project has additional information on web standard compliant browsers. The mission (Traditional Chinese) of the project is to promote the use of W3C recommendations to standardize how to interpret web based content.
This website has been proofed and rendered the site acceptably well using the following browsers:- Mozilla browser (download: zh_TW, all)
- Mozilla Firefox (download: zh_TW, all)
- Netscape 6.x/7.x (download: zh_TW, all)
- Internet Explorer 6+ (content readable, but not 100% web standards compliant -> abnormal layout)
At the moment, the open source Mozilla browser and Mozilla Firefox browser have very good support for CSS level 1 and CSS level 2 and therefore renders the site most completely. (The Netscape 6.x/7.x browser, which like the Mozilla and Firefox (formerly named Firebird and Phoenix) browsers is based on the Gecko browser engine, will have good support for web standards like CSS.)
The Mozilla Localization Project is working on Traditional Chinese (zh-TW) localization. Francis S. Lin (piaip@csie.ntu.edu.tw) is the very diligent maintainer of this work. He provides downloads of localized versions of the Mozilla and Phoenix browsers as well as other plugins on his Traditional Chinese/English Mozilla localization site.
